Wheeler's Heavy Duty Steel Wheels
for 96-current 4Runner
These are heavy-duty *15" X 8" and 16" x 8" black powder-coated and chrome plated steel wheels for Toyota 4Runner. We specialize in the 96-current 4Runners but these certainly will fit earlier 4Runners as well. We carry these with a couple of different backspace settings; one that is good for stock tires up to 11.5" wide called TYPE A (4.5" backspacing, best fit for most 4Runners) and another that is good for stock size tires up to 12.5" wide called TYPE B (4" backspacing). TYPE B has less backspacing which causes the tire to stick out from the fender a little more than TYPE A, allowing more room between the tire and upper control arm for wider tires. These wheels clear the brake calipers which has been an issue with replacement wheels on these trucks (these do not fit the '03 and newer 4Runner with the Sport Package). The wheels have larger bead retention grooves to assist bead retention at low tire operating pressures. These wheels are DOT approved. We have black and chrome lug nuts, lug locks and wheel caps listed below for these wheels. The 15" wheels weigh approx 30lbs/ea, the 16" wheels weigh approx 37lbs/ea. *The 15" wheels are for 95-02 4Runner's that do not have the larger front brake package associated with 16" factory equipped wheel packages. One way to determine which brake package your 96-02 4Runner came with is to measure the diameter of the front brake rotors; the standard brake package uses rotors that are approx 11-5/8" in diameter and the optional brake package usually related to the 16" factory wheel package and/or the SR5 or Limited Package (but not always!..) has a diameter of approx 12.5". It should also show factory tire size on your driver door jam sticker.

WHEEL SPACERS
1/4" Thick Wheel Spacer: 5.00/ea
These 1/4" wheel spacers come in handy
for fitting other brands of steel wheels that won't fit your Toyota because they
contact the front brake calipers. A lot of folks will only install these on the
front, the rear brakes usually don't have wheel clearance issues. Use your
discretion on determining if these will safely allow enough thread contact on
your wheel studs after installation.
